Exciting news just dropped, Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. has announced the first wave of retail and restaurant offerings for their new 70-acre mixed-use development, Village Green at Bridgeland Central. This is just the beginning for this 925-acre urban district that's buzzing with anticipation. Let me give you the scoop on the fabulous six new businesses coming to our community: Jonathan’s The Rub, Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café, Crust Pizza Co., Venetian Nail Spa, Teal Poppy, and Gelato & Co.
Jonathan’s The Rub: One of Houston’s beloved family-owned gems is expanding to Bridgeland! This will be their fourth location in Greater Houston, offering a casual yet elegant dining experience. Picture this – a made-from-scratch menu featuring American cuisine with a twist, a flexible dining room for private events, two outdoor patios, and a bar with craft cocktails and a curated wine list. Mark your calendars for Fall 2025 – brunch, lunch, happy hour, and dinner will be divine here.
Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café: Crêpe lovers, rejoice! Sweet Paris is bringing its French-inspired magic to Bridgeland. This charming café will serve up sweet and savory crêpes, salads, panini, waffles, breakfast, and specialty drinks. With an outdoor patio that will transport you to a Parisian street, it’s going to be a favorite spot to unwind. Founded in Houston by Allison and Ivan Chavez, this will be the third location for franchise owners Mike and Mary Kelton.
Crust Pizza Co.: Get ready for some award-winning Chicago-style thin-crust pizza! Crust Pizza Co. is opening its 11th location here, serving delicious pizzas, pastas, salads, desserts, and more. Their fresh dough and cheese will make every bite memorable. Plus, their outdoor patio will be perfect for fun times with family and friends.
Venetian Nail Spa: Pampering time! Venetian Nail Spa is bringing its top-notch nail care, skincare, and wax treatments to Bridgeland. With over 70 salons nationwide, they’re known for their exceptional service. You can also grab some eco-friendly lifestyle products to continue your self-care at home.
Teal Poppy: Ladies, get ready to shop! Teal Poppy, an independent women’s clothing and gift boutique, is opening its third Texas location. Founder Heather Alexander personally handpicks items from showrooms nationwide, ensuring you leave feeling beautiful. Their 2,500-square-foot showroom will feature a custom mural, making shopping a delightful experience.
Gelato & Co.: Life is sweeter with gelato! Gelato & Co. is bringing authentic Italian gelato to Bridgeland. With 20 flavors made on-site daily and dairy-fat-free sorbets, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy your treat on their outdoor patio and savor the sweet moments.
It’s an exciting time for Bridgeland as this vibrant community hub continues to grow. These new businesses are set to open as early as Q2 2025, with an H-E-B and Houston’s first mass timber office, One Bridgeland Green, also on the horizon. I can’t wait to see our community thrive with these fantastic additions!
