Hi friend! If you're house-hunting in Cypress, Texas, property taxes are a key factor to consider. A lower tax rate can mean thousands of dollars in savings over time, making homeownership more affordable without sacrificing quality of life. In this blog, we’re highlighting the neighborhoods with the best tax rates in 2025—helping you find the perfect place to call home while keeping more money in your pocket. Let’s dive in!
Cypress is one of the most popular suburbs in Northwest Houston, loved for its highly rated CFISD schools, big master-planned communities, golf-course neighborhoods, and beautiful mature trees. What many buyers don’t realize at first is that Cypress also has some of the most attractive property tax rates in the Houston area—especially in its more established neighborhoods.
Using your verified 2025 tax-rate data, this guide highlights:
- The Cypress neighborhoods with the lowest tax rates
- The most popular master-planned communities and their approximate tax rates
- A separate look at Bridgeland and its villages, where tax rates are notably higher and not considered low-tax
My goal is to help you see not just where people want to live in Cypress, but also how each neighborhood might affect your monthly payment over the long term.

Why people love living here:
Lakes of Fairhaven features estate-style homes on oversized lots with lakes, open skies, and a peaceful, country-luxury vibe. While this specific dataset doesn’t include its 2025 tax rate, it’s widely known as a desirable large-lot option in the Cypress area. If you’re curious about the exact current tax rate here, I’d be happy to pull it specifically for you.
Bridgeland & Its Villages — Beautiful, But NOT Low-Tax
Your separate Bridgeland files show that Bridgeland’s tax rates are substantially higher than most Cypress neighborhoods listed above.
For 2025, Bridgeland villages fall roughly in this range:
- Lakeland Village: ≈3.25–3.28%
- Parkland Village: ≈3.26–3.34%
- Prairieland Village: ≈3.32–3.34%
- Creekland Village: ≈3.32–3.34%
🔔 Important:
By any Greater Houston benchmark, tax rates above 3% are NOT considered low tax.
However, Bridgeland remains incredibly popular because of its:
- Massive trail network
- Dozens of parks and themed playgrounds
- Amenity centers and pools
- Lakes and boardwalks
- Strong school zoning
- Beautiful planning and aesthetics
So for your blog, it’s very fair to position Bridgeland as:
“One of Cypress’ most amenity-rich and thoughtfully designed master-planned communities,
but not a low-tax neighborhood compared to many of the others listed here.”
Final Thoughts
Cypress offers a wide variety of neighborhoods with surprisingly low property tax rates—especially in established communities like Coles Crossing, Fairfield, Longwood, Lakewood Forest, and several smaller pockets such as Bonaire, Lone Oak Village, and Marks Glen U/R. When you pair those tax savings with highly rated schools and strong demand, many of these neighborhoods become incredibly smart long-term choices.
If you’re trying to balance lifestyle, schools, amenities, and tax rate, I’d love to walk you through the numbers and help you narrow down which Cypress neighborhoods best fit your goals.
