Many of Humble’s older neighborhoods, built before 2005, offer mature trees, spacious lots, and a variety of architectural styles. Whether you're drawn to lower tax rates, historic charm, or a well-established community feel, these areas have something special to offer. Here are some of the notable ones:
1. Atascocita South
Atascocita South, built in the 1980s and early 2000s, is a family-friendly neighborhood featuring affordable single-family homes with traditional designs. The community offers parks, a community pool, and easy access to Lake Houston. Located near FM 1960, it provides convenient shopping, dining, and top-rated schools.
2. Atascocita Trails
Atascocita Trails, developed in the 1970s, expanded into the early 2000s with newer home styles. Known for tree-lined streets, spacious lots, and a strong community atmosphere, this neighborhood offers a community pool, tennis courts, and playgrounds.
3. Walden on Lake Houston
Walden on Lake Houston, built in the 1980s and early 2000s, is a golf course community located along Lake Houston’s shores. The neighborhood features custom-built homes, waterfront properties, and access to the Walden Country Club, which includes a pool, fitness center, and tennis courts.
4. Kenswick

5. Oaks of Atascocita

6. Timberwood
Timberwood, built in the 1980s and early 2000s, is a quiet residential community offering affordable homes with large yards. Residents enjoy walking trails, parks, and close proximity to major highways for commuting.
7. Foxwood
Foxwood, developed in the 1970s, expanded in the early 2000s with affordable, single-family homes and a welcoming community feel. The neighborhood includes parks, walking trails, and a community pool, making it ideal for families.
8. Northshire
Northshire, one of Humble’s older, established communities, features spacious lots, mature trees, and traditional-style homes built between the 1970s and early 2000s. Located near Deerbrook Mall and Highway 59, it offers easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment.
