City Place has a brand-new art installation, and it's something you don't want to miss. “Invisible Music,” created by Austin-based artist and musician Steve Parker, brings a blend of art and nature to life in the heart of City Place.
What is “Invisible Music”?
“Invisible Music” is not your typical art installation. It uses repurposed brass instruments to create a unique experience that combines music and nature. The installation features floating components that act as sound resonators. These resonators play an ever-changing musical composition, creating a dynamic soundscape that evolves with time.
Interactive and Engaging
One of the coolest parts of “Invisible Music” is its interactive element. Visitors can use a series of levers to interact with the land-based components of the installation. This allows you to create your own mix of sounds, making the experience truly personal and unique.
Listen Closely
The installation encourages visitors to listen closely to the natural world around them. Using ambient music, natural soundscapes recorded in Texas, and compositions by Erik Satie arranged by Parker, “Invisible Music” invites you to hear the subtle and often imperceptible sounds of nature.

“Invisible Music” is free and open to the public daily from 7 AM to 10 PM, starting from July 20 until September 15. It is located at City Place Plaza, 1250 Lake Plaza Dr, Spring, TX 77389.
