My Favorite Parks in Spring TX
Here at Jo & Co., we love to find new places to enjoy the outdoors and that's why we are looking at different parks today in Spring, TX!
Pundt Park | 4129 Spring Creek Dr. Spring, TX 77373
Need 380 acres to satisfy your outdoor needs? Pundt Park provides you with access to the Spring Creek Greenway that offers miles upon miles of paved trails used for hiking, biking, running and even horseback riding! Have a furry best friend? There are two dog parks you will find, one opened for big dogs and the other for small dogs! A canoe launch, playground, picnic area, pavilions, lakes… the list goes on with all the fun you can have here!
Meyer Park | 7700 Cypresswood Dr, Spring, TX 77379
If you are craving to run around and play some sports, Meyer Park holds two softball fields, a basketball court, and 26 soccer fields! Cook some barbecue and enjoy it under a pavilion or read a book in one of the gazebos in the nice weather. If you're not one to play sports, enjoy a nice walk on the paved trails that weaves their way around and through the park. The kids will also enjoy the different playgrounds to run around on.
Dennis Johnston Park | 709 Riley Fuzzel Rd, Spring, TX 77373
Love to bike? This might be the park for you! You will also find access to the Spring Creek Greenway here! The paved trails here are clearly marked as they wind through the woods. Dennis Johnston Park also offers a covered playground for kids and an ample amount of space for them to run around and play games. Fishing is also available to enjoy at the pond, so be sure to bring your fishing poles!
Forest Oaks Park | 19023 Joanleigh Dr. Spring, TX 77388
Located right off of I-45, the quiet Forest Oaks Park brings a variety of activities to the 60-acre land. It offers multiple walking and running trails that are both, paved and unpaved. Along the paths, you will find covered and uncovered pavilions to rest, a sand volleyball court, and a playground for the kids! There are four different lakes to fish from and the lakes are fully stocked, so please remember to catch and release! The beautiful views make for great picnics and bbqs and a place to lounge around under the gazebos. This park is defiantly one to visit and to bring friends and family!
Kickerillo – Mischer Preserve | 20215 Chasewood Park D Houston, TX 77070
This charming 80-acre park is greatly loved by the community. Centered around a peaceful lake, you're able to take a stroll on the 1.7-mile loop. There are other various trails scattered throughout the park. You'll also find a canoe launch, picnic areas, fishing piers, and lots of beautiful scenery. Be sure to bring your canoes, kayaks, and fishing poles, and get ready to spend a few hours enjoying the outdoors!
