Hi there. Sometimes it's good to get out of your bubble and do something different for a change, so today I wanted to share a list of some great places to venture out to on your next day trip!
- Historic Downtown Rosenberg: This outdoor hub for shopping, eating, & entertainment is definitely worth the trip. All of the shops & restaurants are inside original historic buildings, and there's a variety of murals where you'll want to stop to get some really cool family pics. There's everything from bakeries & wine rooms to specialty boutiques & a community theater.
- Bayou Wildlife Zoo: Here you can explore an 80 acre zoo while riding comfortably on a tram driven by knowledgeable guides. You'll get to see all kinds of exotic animals, as well as barnyard animals. They even have their Big Red Barn where you can meet giraffes & the bottle fed baby animals.
- Kemah Boardwalk: This boardwalk & amusement park overlooking the water is truly a blast, and full of activities for the whole family to enjoy. There's so many fun rides & roller coasters for kids of all ages, carnival style games & prizes, an aquarium, boat excursions, and some really great restaurants. They also have a hotel onsite in case you want to stay the night or weekend to keep the fun going on!
- Tanger Outlets – Texas City: A day trip dedicated to shopping is sometimes just what you need, especially if you're doing back to school or seasonal shopping for the kids. This outlet mall has everything you need for the whole family, with hundreds of stores to choose from. You can always find great deals on really nice things here, so you won't feel so guilty about your purchases.
- Lake Conroe Park: Lake Conroe is big destination for the Houston area and this 13 acre park right on the lake has everything you need for a day of fun, like fishing piers, barbecue pits & picnic tables, and a roped off beach entrance swimming area. It's located right by Lake Conroe Water Sports where you can rent a boat for the day to really get out there and enjoy the water.
