Hi friend. With Christmas fast approaching, I wanted to share with you a list of festive holiday events taking place in The Woodlands that you & your family can partake in!
Lighting of the Doves | LINK
This is a long running festival that has taken place in The Woodlands for 39 years in a row. You'll get to see traditional & international performances, enjoy snow play booths, many children's activities, vendor booths, live reindeer, and plenty of other entertainment all along The Woodlands Waterway. Santa Claus will arrive by water sleigh at night, proceeded by a firework show, and finally the ceremonial lighting of the doves.
November 20th 2021, Saturday from 3pm – 9pm
Market Street in Lights | LINK
Market Street in Lights is the annual flipping of the switch that turns on all of the lights on the gigantic 70 ft. tall Christmas tree located in the green space at Market Street, kicking off the holiday season with a bang. There will be special live performance taking place beforehand & the tree will be lit up by a special nominee, Leukemia survivor Charlie Haydon who's only 4 years old.
November 18th 2021, Thursday starting at 6pm
Holiday Market | LINK
This festive market held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center is a full blown shopping extravaganza. It's a 3 day event where you can buy a variety of things like personalized gifts, Christmas decor, clothes, floral arrangements, art, and all sorts of other goodies. There'll be over 100 different vendors and on Saturday Santa will be there to take pics.
November 18th – 21st 2021
Santa Dash | LINK
An annual Fun Run/Walk that benefits children in Texas battling cancer. Get dressed up in your holiday attire, like fun Santa hats, cheesy Christmas sweaters, necklaces that light up, and all the red & green you can find, and head to Town Green Park for a day of activities. You don't have to participate in the run, there will be plenty more to do like shopping, a silent auction, real snow stations, pics with Santa, festive carnival games, and more.
December 11th 2021, Saturday from 7:30am – 12:30pm
Winter Wonderland | LINK
In Creekside Park Village Green there'll be a holiday celebration where you and your family can enjoy a live DJ playing festive music, photo ops with Santa Claus, a petting zoo, face painting, balloon artists, fun inflatables, carnival games, reindeer, and even a pony carousel. It's completely free and your children are sure to love all the Christmas activities.
December 11th 2021, Saturday from 1pm – 5pm
‘A Classic Christmas' with The Woodlands Symphony | LINK
The Woodlands First Baptist Church will be hosting a free concert where The Woodlands Symphony will perform “A Classic Christmas”. The Woodlands Boys Choir will also be accompanying the orchestra to sing all of the best Christmas songs to get you in the holiday spirit.
December 29th 2021
The Magic of Christmas | LINK
This is a must see Christmas parade of lights that is bound to impress even the least festive member of the family. There'll be around 80 decked out floats with twinkling lights, festive vehicles & other displays, as well as animal rides for children, face painting, games, & food trucks spread throughout the event.
December 4th 2021, Saturday starting at 5:30pm
The Light Park | LINK
You won't want to miss this light show extravaganza that's known as ‘The brightest show south of the North Pole!' This drive-through light show features millions of twinkling lights synchronized to holiday music, and there's plenty of entertainment to enjoy while you wait to get in.
November 4th – January 2nd 2021, Every night from 5:30pm – 10pm
The Woodlands Ice Rink | LINK
What better way to enjoy the Winter season than to go to the ice rink! Even though we live in Texas & don't necessarily get the full Winter experience, going to the ice skating rink kind of makes up for it & makes you feel like you're in New York City during Christmas time. They have a concessions area with food & drinks, and you can also host parties here.
November 19th – January 17th 2021, Hours vary so be sure to check the link above.
