    Today I wanted to share with you all things Oakland, Sugar Land TX. Keep in mind each suburb, city, and neighborhood has so much to offer. I know that there are so many to choose from in the Houston area, and I know there is one that perfectly fits your needs.     WHY PEOPLE LOVE OAKLAND IN SUGAR LAND TX

    Where is Oakland:

    Oakland is a new master-planned community located just off of Highway 59 and I-69 in Sugar Land, TX. It is conveniently located near major business centers, schools, shopping centers, and more! In addition, Houston downtown is only 30 minutes away via 1-69, and Sugar Land is only 6 minutes away.

    Why folks choose Oakland:

    Residents enjoy living in this community because it offers a variety of amenities, like playgrounds, tennis courts, and a neighborhood pool! Also, residents enjoy the sophisticated clubhouse that is perfect for gatherings and social events as well as a designated green area for additional outdoor space. And, residents of Oakland enjoy easy access to major highways and numerous restaurants thanks to its location in Sugar Land. Besides that, Oakland has excellent schools like Clements High School, Colorado Bend Elementary, and Fort Settlement Middle School, plus top primary and middle schools that are within walking distance.

    Oakland is a gorgeous community nestled between major interstates, near local schools and shopping areas, making it easy to get to work or run errands with ease. Oakland is a great place to call home and offers a lot of amenities to its residents such as a neighborhood pool, playgrounds, tennis courts, and more! This is a community where you can easily find so much to do.  As a bonus, Sweetwater Country Club is just 5 minutes away. Their facilities include two championship golf courses, four indoor climate-controlled tennis courts, and eight outdoor tennis courts, an indoor golf academy featuring state-of-the-art technology, indoor & outdoor pools, a fitness center, and more!

    District Rating:

    A-Rated | Fort Bend ISD has overall A's in academics, diversity, sports, college prep, and clubs & activities. Fort Bend ISD earned a Superior rating, an A, in the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) for the 2019-20 school year. The district scored 92 points out of a possible 100 rating points, and this is FBISD’s 17th Superior rating. Fort Bend County is one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. As the largest school district in the county, Fort Bend ISD is an outstanding K-12 public education system.The District is Texas’ eighth largest with more than 77,000 students and one of the most diverse in the nation. Working and learning cohesively alongside families who speak more than 90 languages and dialects, the schools work together with students, their families and the community to address each student’s unique needs. FBISD currently has 81 campuses: 11 high schools, 15 middle schools, 51 elementary campuses and four specialty schools to address the academic and vocational interests of students. With more than 11,000 full-time employees and substitutes, the District is the largest employer in Fort Bend County. Fort Bend ISD is committed to its mission to inspire and equip all students to pursue futures beyond what they can imagine.

    A variety of shopping options can be found within a short distance from your homes, such as Costco, Kroger, Target, Whole Foods, H-E-B, and Randall's. For dining and shopping, make First Colony Mall and Sugar Land Town Square your preferred destinations. For evening and weekend entertainment, the AMC Theater is nearby. Located minutes away, Sugar Land Memorial Park features lots of amenities such as a designated biking trail, a walking trail, a dog park, picnic areas, and a pavilion as well as a playground.
