Places To Experience in Kingwood, TX
Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventures: Both adults & children will be amazed by this waterpark. There are so many winding water slides with different levels of intensity, toddler-friendly water areas, and a floating obstacle course. They have a zipline and petting zoo as well, and if you feel like relaxing there’s an on-site bar & restaurant!
The Rustic Brush: This is not your ordinary “drink while you learn to paint” class. Here you have the option to create so much more than just a canvas painting; you can make wooden signs, front door mats, beds for your pets, planter boxes, centerpieces & so much more. Don’t forget to bring your beverage of choice!
Houston Interactive aquarium & animal adventure: An animal lover’s dream, this facility has everything from stingrays & sharks to kangaroos & lemurs. You can also interact with a variety of reptiles & exotic birds. If you’re feeling extra adventurous check out their underwater adventures on their website!
Houston Grand Prix: This outdoor go-kart track is fun for any age, you can drive solo or opt for a 2-seat cart. There’s also a large arcade & pool tables located indoors!
Back Pew: If you want to enjoy yourself while also learning a little something about making beer then this is the place to go. You can get a tour of this beautiful brewery built in an old church and sample some of their unique ales & lagers!
Parks to Visit in Kingwood, TX
East End Park: A very scenic park with 3.5 miles of wooded trails for walking & jogging. There’s also over half a mile of boardwalks that go through the many swamps & marshes. You’ll most likely see a lot of wildlife here!
Rustling Elms Park: There are plenty of walking & biking trails here to explore. They also have a gazebo that lights up at night with picnic tables and a large playground for kids!
River Grove Park: This 74-acre park has a variety of things to take part in. A boardwalk extends over a river so you can fish or just take in the view, or you could play on the 18-hole disc golf course. There are 4 covered picnic areas with grills, a playground, many trails, and a boat ramp that takes you out onto Lake Houston!
Kingwood Town Center Park: Now this park isn’t quite the same as the others on the list, it’s a park located in the Town Center that is always having fun events such as live music, farmers markets, car shows and so much more!
Restaurants in Kingwood, TX
Amedeo's Italian Restaurant – The menu at Amedeo's Italian Restaurant is extensive, including meat, seafood, pasta, desserts, and beverages.
Sharky’s – Seafood restaurant with a view of Lake Houston, fun nautical style inside.
Zammitti’s – Italian food, large outdoor patio on Lake Houston as well.
The Rusty Buckle BBQ – This is a perfect BBQ restaurant for those craving grilled meat they are serving brisket, pork ribs, pulled pork, sausage, turkey, and more!
Crust Pizza Co – This is a traditional Chicago-style thin-crust pizza. There's a lot to choose from specialty pizzas or their signature pasta, subs, or calzones.
Texas Q – Classic Texas-style barbecue with a modern, southern interior.
Chachi’s Mexican Restaurant – Mexican food is located in a vintage building in the town center, great outdoor seating area.
Mencius Gourmet Hunan – Asian cuisine, a local favorite that’s been around for 35 years!
