Hi there. I know we've shared a lot of great restaurants in The Woodlands, and for good reason, as there's just so much variety here. So today i'll be sharing some of my favorite family owned restaurants in the area, because there's nothing better than supporting locally owned spots where you know they genuinely appreciate your business!
Schilleci's New Orleans Kitchen | LINK
This wonderful restaurant located in Market Street offers Cajun & Creole cuisine and drinks in a cozy, rustic space. The French Quarter-style restaurant was voted ‘Best of The Woodlands' every year since opening in 2010. They have a lovely patio with covered seating for outdoor dining with a great view.
Nona's Italian Grill | LINK
Homemade Italian food with an extensive menu of both classic & one of a kind dishes. The atmosphere is warm & inviting, and they have a world class wine menu. Their amazing dishes have been getting a lot of buzz in local foodie groups on Facebook.
Kobe Steak House | LINK
Japanese restaurant & steak house with multiple hibachi grills. There’s just something so exciting about watching the talented chefs toss knifes & put on a show all while making your delicious meal right in front of you. It’ll definitely impress the kids and I can assure you it's far better that the typical chain hibachi restaurants.
Fu Manchung | LINK
Vietnamese restaurant with Asian Fusion influences. Their dishes are creative and the presentation will have you snapping pics before you dive in. Chef Taylor Chung comes from very humble beginnings and has so much passion for his amazing restaurant.
Cafe di Fiorre | LINK
A lovely hidden gem towards the end of Woodlands Parkway. They have authentic Mexican cuisine, as well as dishes that they’ve put their own flare on. Everything on their menu is delicious, and they have a little bakery inside, as well as an ice cream bar.
Julio's Mexican Grill | LINK
Small restaurant with an extensive variety of amazing Mexican food & margaritas, not be confused with Uncle Julio’s chain restaurant. On weekends only they offer Birria tacos, Menudo, and Pazole, as well as their usual large menu full of options. The owners have been working in the restaurant industry since they were young kids.
La Cocina de Roberto | LINK
An amazing Mexican restaurant that has 2 locations in The Woodlands & Spring area. The menu here is full of amazing dishes and authentic tacos. They also have a very impressive breakfast menu, and on the weekends they serve Pazole but you have to get there early because it goes fast!
Palette Indian Kitchen | LINK
Traditional Indian cuisine with special family recipes as well. This restaurant run by a lovely husband & wife duo is known for their hospitality and authentic meals. They opened four years ago and quickly became a local favorite.
Off the Hook Seafood | LINK
A small, chef-driven, Gulf-to-Table restaurant that focuses on serving the highest quality seafood at affordable prices. They actually opened at the beginning of the pandemic, and never let that stop them from gaining major local success.
