Today I am going to make an assumption… I am going to assume that property taxes are on your mind. And today I am going to focus on the property tax rates you will find in Katy TX. So let's go ahead and jump right in to talk about property tax rates in Katy Texas…
Katy is a great place to live. It's ranked #8 in the “Best Suburbs to live in Houston Area” by Niche.com and it always receives high marks for its excellent quality of life. The town has a lot of history, but it's also growing and evolving with new businesses. So what does this mean for property tax rates?
The Property Tax Rates in Katy TX
A general rule of thumb is that the newer the area or neighborhood the higher the property tax rate. In Katy we see tax rates as low as 1.85% in G W Cartwright, 1.9% in Lake Pointe Estates, and 1.94% in Katy Crossing and Katy Lake Estates, and as high as 3.67% in Sunterra, 3.54% in Winward, and 3.53% in Camillo Lakes. Below I am going to share with you the tax rates in some of the hottest neighborhoods in Katy in 2023. Keep in mind, tax rates can fluxuate from home to home in a neighborhood, and tax rates that are high will decrease over time.
Avalon at Seven Meadows: 2.29% – 2.44%, Homes for sale in Avalon at Seven Meadows.
Cane Island: 3.28% – 3.45%, Homes for sale in Cane Island.
Cinco Ranch: 2.31% – 2.77%, Homes for sale in Cinco Ranch.
Elyson: 3.32% – 3.4%, Homes for sale in Elyson.
Firethorne: 2.54% – 2.61%, Homes for sale in Firethorne.
Jordan Ranch: 3.09% – 3.27%, Homes for sale in Jordan Ranch.
Katy Lakes: 3.48%, Homes for sale in Katy Lakes.
Lake House: 2.02%, Homes for sale in LakeHouse.
Marcello Lakes: 3.33%, Homes for sale in Marcello Lakes.
Marshall Oaks: 2.7%, Homes for sale in Marshall Oaks.
Nottingham Country: 2.24%, Homes for sale in Nottingham Country.
Pine Mill Ranch: 2.67% – 2.77%, Homes for sale in Pine Mill Ranch.
