Here at Jo & Co., we love exploring our communities and we love all things coffee! Today are looking at Luv Coffee and their mission. This one just got bumped to a high spot on the favorites list! How could it not with the calming atmosphere, friendly baristas, the best tasting matcha and the “why” behind the coffee beans? It also have a drive-tru, if you're ever in a rush to get caffeinated!
Sitting right off of Fish Creek Thoroughfare, in Pine Market Plaza, you'll find Luv Coffee fitted with wall art, back patio seating and the perfect roast. Walking in, you feel right at home in this relaxed and open environment where you can chat and catch up with friends or get some work done. After being here for even one minute, you know this a community focused space. The staff are very welcoming, attentive to the customer needs and I could tell the community within the staff seemed very uplifting and encouraging between one another! I decided to get their iced matcha latte and it was the smoothest, most fulfilling matcha my mouth has ever experienced.
As they say, “crafted with care, brewed with precision, and always served with Luv”, you'll find what you need here! Luv Coffee sources right from local roasters for the ultimate coffee beans. With careful attention to every step of the process, they are mindful to what goes into each cup when it is handed to you. They have all your go-to espresso orders from lattes to a cortado but you will also find cold brew and nitro coffee! Offering specialty drinks such as shaken espressos, crushed raspberry lemonade and blendies (which are similar to frappuchino's), they also have tea.
Along with the spectacular beans and drinks, they offer savory bakery items! Chow-down on some cinnamon rolls, croissants, kolaches, scones, bagels or muffins and cookies. If you're gluten-free, don't fret, they offer gluten-free scones and cinnamon rolls for your enjoyment. If you're in the mood for some more filling food, grab ahold of an entree! From panini's, sandwiches and avocado toast, they are all paired greatly with any drink.
One of the special things about Luv Coffee is that they are a part of a mission. Focused on helping others and meeting others needs, with every cup you drink you help support orphans with their basic needs. The vision for this coffee shop started when they visited Haiti and now it has grown to a partnership with Coreluv, a local non-profit organization with the aim to provide care to orphans. They provide clean water, proper food, healthcare, education, job skills and a loving home.
