Magnolia is a lovely city that is located in southwestern Montgomery County. This county has been rated seventh in terms of growth within the United States. Magnolia has also been awarded the Scenic City Certification by Scenic Texas. The combination of nature, history, and lively community make Magnolia an ideal place to visit on a weekend getaway or holiday trip.
To help you discover the hidden gems of this city, we’ve put together a list of some of the most interesting things to do in this area. Places To Experience
Magnolia Stroll: The Magnolia Stroll is a half-mile walkway through the town that offers a relaxing, casual stroll under the shade of lush trees. It provides access to restaurants, specialty shops, parks, and city events, as well as public art.
Pinebrook Farms: They offer horseback riding, the youngsters can also learn various games and sports, try archery, take arts and crafts lessons, swim classes, horse shows, trail rides, and more!
Lone Pint Brewery's Craft Beers: Head to the Lone Pint Brewery in Magnolia, where you'll find a variety of beers with distinct flavors perfect for all kinds of palates.
Heritage of the Town at the Historic Magnolia Depot: The Historic Magnolia Depot offers visitors a glimpse at the history of the little town, including artifacts from the former doctor's office and the barbershop of Dr. Ware, as well as an antique sawmill.
High Meadow Ranch Golf Club: If you enjoy golf, then you would find a day spent playing at the High Meadow Ranch Golf Club in Magnolia to be fulfilling. The golf course features fast greens, elevation changes, and water hazards that will test your abilities.
Farmer's Market on Tamina: Don't forget to check out the local Farmer's Market on Tamina. You can find a huge variety of healthy food options, including fresh produce and baked goods. The market is also home to artisans selling their handmade soaps, unique handcrafted items, and more!
Haras Hacienda: This is a boutique hotel in Magnolia that features a sleek, contemporary Spanish look surrounded by the beautiful natural landscape. Relax and enjoy the food and cocktails served in their restaurant, and treat yourself in their spa.
Leisure Lane RV Resort: The Leisure Lane RV Park offers a comfortable stay for RV road trippers with its peaceful natural park setting and complete amenities to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Enjoy a resort-style pool area, a community fire pit for gatherings, a dog park for furry friends, and a clubhouse where you can meet with your neighbors.
Parks to Visit
Unity Park: You can enjoy 2 1/2 miles of walking trails here along with plant & wildlife wetlands, a skate park, a volleyball court, and a horseshoe pit. There’s a playground & splash pad for the kids too!
Sullivan Park: This is a Waterfront park featuring shaded playgrounds, a colorful splash pad, a picnic pavilion & boat dock.
Zube Park: This place is actually 3 parks in 1 and is the ultimate outdoor day of fun destination. They offer free train rides, a pavilion filled with workout equipment, a playground, and a brand-new splash pad. Your furry friends are welcome to join you here!
Smooth Stream Park: A very interesting park that’s great for kids. Their playground equipment is new and innovative and includes an obstacle course and other challenges that encourage learning & creative thinking. It sits on a small lake so the views are lovely here!
Burroughs Park: A 320-acre park with extensive walking trails and multiple playgrounds. There’s a gated dog park as well as a 7-acre lake for fishing. The lake features a large boardwalk so you can walk out and take in the scenery!
Rob Fleming Aquatic Park: This park has a huge stone & wood pavilion, multiple picnic tables with barbecues, and playgrounds, and overlooks a small lake. And right next door is the Rob Fleming Aquatic center where you can float the lazy river, go on multiple fun slides, and swim all day for only $18 for adults & $10 for small children!
Restaurants
The Republic Grille – The Republic Grille offers guests a mix of Texas cuisine and Southern flair. Its menu includes a wide variety of mouthwatering traditional dishes, as well as an assortment of wines from around the world.
Eden Café – At Eden Café, every guest can enjoy a homey atmosphere while savoring both light and hearty meals.
Magnolia Diner – Go to this old-fashioned diner to eat in one of the best restaurants downtown. It offers home-style food served in a comfortable atmosphere, which makes it great for first-time diners. And its affordable prices are another plus.
Rancho Grande Mexican – The restaurant offers a number of Tex-Mex combo meals, chicken meals, drinks, and more!
Hacienda Real Mexican Restaurant – This is an authentic Mexican eatery, that opened in 2013. Try the special burrito stuffed with beef or chicken along with chile con queso, fajita burrito, and cheese enchilada.
Pizzaiolo’s Gourmet Pizza – Pizzaiolo’s uses fresh ingredients to create sumptuous pizza flavors that have made the pizzeria a hit in Magnolia. They offer pasta dishes, chicken pesto, and other Italian staples made with only fresh and natural ingredients.
Julio’s Mexican Grill – This is an iconic Tex-Mex restaurant in Magnolia. It offers amazing food and service, and it has been one of the best-rated restaurants in Magnolia for years. The dishes on offer include all the Tex-Mex favorites you could want.
Victory Pie Co. – This is a welcoming place for anyone who enjoys pie. Apple crumb pie, banana cream pie, and cherry pie are just three of the fruity pies you can buy.
Mikado Asian Cuisine & Sushi – Mikado offers a wide array of Asian dishes. This quaint establishment strives to provide the simplicity and comfort you might be seeking.
Grace’s – is a great place for special occasions and business lunches alike. The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is perfect for any weather. Steak frites and risotto are highly recommended. The staff has always been kind and helpful.
Haras Restaurant – The restaurant offers a menu that is a delicious blend of international and southern comfort food.
Brick and Brews – This restaurant offers a variety of tasty and unique dishes. Famous for their uniformly blackened brisket, you can also enjoy chopped poblanos folded into speckled flour tortillas, topped lusciously with pickled nopales.
