Places To Experience

Oil Ranch – They offer lots of activities for all ages including pony rides, putt-putt golf, hayrides, train ride, a swimming pool, a petting zoo,s and farm activities like feeding and milking cows. The ranch is home to popular seasonal events such as our Easter Bunny Visit & Egg Hunt, the Pumpkin Patch & Scarecrow Festival, and the Santa Ranch Express.

Big Fish Bowfishing Texas – This guide service is hard to beat when it comes to finding big fish in Texas water bodies. From Toledo Bend to Falcon and everywhere in between, they find the big ones! They go the extra mile to insure that you have a pleasant and successful trip.

The Showboat Drive-In – Showboat Drive-In is the longest-running first-run drive-in theater in Houston. It features a mix of first-run movies and classics, as well as live performances by popular bands and special events.

Greater Houston Soap Box Derby – The Hockley Recreational Complex’s Derby Track is the place to be for soapbox car races and gravity races, where young and young-at-heart participants can sign up for the action.

Jimbo's Roadhouse – The bar is the best place to enjoy live bands, darts and billiards, happy hour, karaoke, and steak nights. There are cold booze, friendly biker bar vibes, and good times to be had.

Parks To Visit

Zube Park – Visit Zube Park, and you’ll find plenty of ways to have fun—including trails, a playground, and a separate spray park, a picnic area, and a soccer field. And if you visit on the right weekends, you can catch free train rides with the Houston Area Live Steamers.

Hockley Recreational Complex – The Hockley Recreational Complex is an 18.5-acre park in Hockley. Amenities include a playground, a hiking trail surrounding a fishing pond, a soap box derby track with bleacher seating & concession stand, and an amphitheater with an adjacent Community Center hosting various events for all ages.

Daikin Park – This park is great for children of all ages. There are swings, slides, a merry-go-round, monkey bars, and more! Parking is available around the fence and picnic tables are available for your enjoyment. A small gazebo also provides shade for those hot summer days

Zube Spray Park – The splash pad, pool, pavilion, BBQ pit, and other amenities are sure to delight visitors of all ages.

New Kentucky Park – This park has so many fun features! It has outdoor kitchens, bathrooms, tables, a playground, and more.

Back Door Pizza – BackDoorPizza is a premier and authentic family-owned Pizza Restaurant that has been proudly serving the Hockley/Waller area and beyond since 2010. They serve Pizza, Salad, Pasta, Desserts, and more!

El Jimador Méxican Grill – This is a family-owned restaurant that has been serving Mexican food style. They're serving tacos, quesadillas, meat, nachos, and more!

Simple Simon's Pizza – This is a friendly-Italian restaurant. They serve Classic & creative pizzas, breadsticks, wings, subs & calzones.

2920 Roadhouse – They're a local steakhouse, bar, and grill serving up popular southern favorites and some of the best drinks. They also host car and bike shows, scenic camping grounds, and more here at 2920 RoadHouse Restaurant.
