Best Restaurants in Conroe TX
Broth & Brine – Diverse selection of creative and healthy food, new & stylish interior.
Red Brick Tavern – American pub-style cuisine serving homemade pizzas, craft beer, unique cocktails, and live music. Very a unique & nostalgic ambiance inside.
Fajita Jacks – A true Tex-Mex Grill & Cantina featuring live entertainment. You can enjoy your food and drinks on their patio overlooking Lake Conroe.
Center Court Pizza & Brew – The perfect family restaurant, serving a wide variety of specialty pizzas, burgers & sandwiches, wings, pastas, and great appetizers. They've got televisions playing different sports games mounted on all of the walls and a fun outdoor playground for the kids to enjoy!
The Butler House – Upscale American style dishes with creative inspiration. The restaurant is very trendy yet still has an old school charm, the main feature is it's large patio with a movie theatre sized TV screen showing popular sporting events & movies. There's many different events held there so be sure to check their website so you don't miss out!
Dosey Doe – This restaurant inside a vintage barn is both charming & full of life. It's a popular music venue that has a variety of local & more well known artists showcased, as well as having some of the best breakfast around town. All of there southern comfort foods are amazing and the concerts are a blast!
The Goose’s Acre Bistro & Irish Pub – This 2 story restaurant & bar serving Irish & American cuisine has very large patio spaces that give beautiful views of the Waterway. On the weekends they feature different musicians playing soothing music and have great food & drink specials.
Baja Cantina & Fiesta – This is a very fun restaurant with a large outdoor eating area so you can enjoy the Waterway views. They serve Californian-Mexican fusion food, have a variety of flavorful margaritas too choose from, as well as delicious Aguas Frescas. There’s also great happy hour specials here.
The Refuge Bar & Bistro – Specialty cocktails, beer, wine & creative flatbreads served in a cozy, vintage-inspired space. Closed Sunday and Monday. Hours begin at 4pm. Their old-fashioned décor, such as antique wallpaper, Einstein bulb steel chandeliers and deep mahogany furniture make you fell like you've gone back in time.
Hearsay on the Waterway – They’ve coined their vibe as ‘chic antique’ with their fusion of historical architecture & modern designs, making for a truly beautiful atmosphere. Their menu of eclectic cuisine from influences around the world is very impressive and full of variety

California Baja Fusion Cuisine – Creative blend of Mexican & American Style food. Everything on their menu looks fabulous, especially their Volcano Chilaquiles, fried fish tacos, & breaded steak fries!

Millie's Southern Cuisine – Homestyle comfort food with a variety of choices. Everyone raves about the chicken & waffles and the banana pudding cheesecake
Bocados Burger & Grill – Venezuelan food truck that offers a large menu of creative burgers & chicken sandwiches. You'll definitely want to order a side of Bocados fries if you go!
PawPaw Chico BBQ – Amazing barbecue spot where you can get a huge loaded baked potato, classic bbq plates, and more. They also have homemade boudin & creole mac ‘n cheese!
Best Experiences in Conroe TX
Historic Downtown Conroe: This town has a wonderful vintage feel with much of its original architecture still intact. You can find many boutiques, restaurants, and even museums along these historic streets!
7 Acre Wood: A great kid-friendly place where you can interact with animals in the petting zoo, play mini golf, or try out the zip line. If you go on Saturday or Sunday they offer pony rides for the children!
North Lake Conroe Paddling Co.: If you’re visiting Conroe you’ll most likely want to experience the lake, and a great way to do that is on a kayak. This company rents out Kayaks for great prices and also does guided tours to help you explore!
B.E. Winery: This 15-acre vineyard surrounded by piney woods has some stunning views, and of course amazing wine. Plus it’s located in Historic Downtown Conroe!
That Escape Place: Now that Escape rooms are gaining more popularity they seem to be popping up everywhere, but this location offers recently expanded & updated rooms with the highest ratings in the area. It’s a great activity to do with friends or family!
Market Street: This classy outdoor space has a multitude of shops, both high end & affordable ones. There are quite a few great restaurants, all with ample patio space to enjoy the weather and views.
Rob Fleming Aquatic Center: This water park is so much fun and has really great prices. At $18 for adults & $10 for kids, you can enjoy a lazy river, pools, multiple water slides, and wide open green spaces for running around.
The Woodlands Waterway: The waterway hosts a variety of activities to enjoy that you could easily spend your day doing. There’s amazing shopping, dining, and entertainment on Waterway Square & Hughes Landing.
Concert In The Park – Each season, you can enjoy a free outdoor concert series at Northshore Park in the Woodlands. Bring blankets, food, and the whole family to this seasonal musical program open to all music lovers.
Texas TreeVentures: If you’re looking for a more exhilarating day trip you’ll definitely want to try out this areal adventure course submersed in the woods of the George Mitchell Nature Preserve.

Parks In or Near Conroe TX
Lake Conroe Park: A 13 acre park right on the lake with fishing piers, barbecue pits & picnic tables, and a roped off beach entrance swimming area. This park is perfect if you're wanting to enjoy the water!
Lone Star Monument & Historical Flag Park: This is great park if you enjoy history as it showcases 13 flags from the 1830's Texas Revolution. In the center of the park is 14 foot “Texian” sculpture made by a local artist!
Carl Barton Jr. Park: There's much to do at this 201 acre park, they have soccer & baseball fields, a large pond for fishing, covered playground for the kids and a few nature trails!
Tamarac Park: Sitting just south of The Woodlands mall, Tamarac Park is loved for all that it offers. Upon parking, you are immediately greeted by tennis courts, a sand volleyball court and a basketball court.Throughout the park you will also come across a dog park, multiple playgrounds and even a skate park tucked in the back!
Northshore Park: Need a wide open space to have a picnic and play lawn games with a lake view? Head on over to Northshore Park, located on the north end of Lake Woodlands! Along with a spacious green lawn, you'll find a sand volleyball court, barbecue pits and a couple playgrounds for the kids.
Shadowbend Park: You'll find trails, tennis courts, volleyball & basketball courts and a pool facility! With the pool, there is easy access to a splashpad for the littles to run around! The kids are also able to have fun on the playground or chase each other on the multi-purpose fields.
W. Goodrich Jones State Forest: One of the largest urban forests in the nation, this location features many trails to explore, a few picnic areas, and 2 lakes!
Candy Cane Park: I've saved the best for last with this park. This 24 acre park offers multiple playgrounds and an aquatic center, if you have kids they'll be in heaven here. And if you need to relax there's picnic areas near the aquatic center, and some calming trails to walk through!
Dennis Johnston Park: This park offers a covered playground for kids and an ample amount of space for them to run around and play games. Fishing is available to enjoy at the pond, so be sure to bring your fishing poles! You will also find access to the Spring Creek Greenway here
Forest Oaks Park: It offers multiple walking and running trails that are both, paved and unpaved. Along the paths, you will find covered and uncovered pavilions to rest, a sand volleyball court, and a playground for the kids!
Kickerillo: This charming 80-acre park is greatly loved by the community. Centered around a peaceful lake, you're able to take a stroll on the 1.7-mile loop. There are other various trails scattered throughout the park.
