Today I received wonderful news from Highland Homes – a power update for Bridgeland Central in Bridgeland, Cypress, Texas. Centerpoint Energy is on-site and actively digging trenches for utility installation! The latest information is they anticipate being energized and have power on by early June.
Once the section is energized, they will need to have electric and gas meters installed and then will need roughly 3 weeks to complete homes once power is on. The construction team will be working extremely hard in the coming weeks to make sure homeowners/home purchasers get in as soon as they possibly can. For current purchasers, Highland Homes advises that if you see anything that requires attention on your home, please email your construction manager so we can get ahead of any potential outstanding items.
Their target date for the first closings in Bridgeland Central is in late June – Highland Homes will be sending out schedules for new home orientation, final walk dates, and closing dates/times in the coming month once power is turned on.
If they have been discussing a June or July closing with you – they ask that you please finalize any outstanding items with your lender, confirm with our office final price/change orders, finalize homeowners insurance, and any other items that may cause delays in closing.
They also advise, for June/July closings – please get with your lender to order initial appraisals.
