Places To Experience
Fernland Historical Park: Montgomery has several parks, including Fernland Historical Park along Clepper Drive, that feature beautiful landscapes displaying pre-Civil War and post-Civil War houses.
Lake Conroe: Lake Conroe covers over 22,000 acres and includes more than 150 miles of shoreline. This large body of water is great for fishing, swimming, boating and other water sports.
The Nat Hart Davis Pioneer Complex: This museum, which is owned by the Montgomery Historical Society, displays original accessories and furnishings from Montgomery's early settlers in the 1800s in its complex.
Jenkins Sunshine Farm: Jenkins Sunshine Farm offers a variety of fresh, homemade products made from organic ingredients that are grown on its own farms. Visitors can take home fresh produce, eggs, herbs, flowers, and other items from their trip to Montgomery.
Naked Turtle Tavern: This local bar offers a lively environment and an excellent selection of drinks. It also hosts bingo events, karaoke nights, weekend parties, and live games.
Deer Lake Lodge Resort and Spa: This is a small local resort with a unique spa and wellness experience that focuses on detoxification. The spa offers top-notch services from diet and exercise to numerous therapies.
Old Ironworks: The Old Ironworks is a great place to see vintage cars still in excellent condition. This Montgomery attraction is a haven for vintage car enthusiasts.
Golf Club at La Torretta: This 18-hole Golf Club at La Torretta Lake Resort is one of the most beautiful golf courses you'll visit in Montgomery. features more than 50 bunkers, and is surrounded by beautiful fountains, treelines, waterfalls, and lakes.
Vintage Restaurant at Magnolia Diner: The Magnolia Diner is a well-known, 50's-style diner located in Montgomery. They use fresh ingredients sourced from local farms and make their food using homemade recipes. Their portions are known to be big enough to fill anyone's tummy.
Parks to Visit
Memory Park: It boasts scenic views of its garden area, extensive pond, and walkways. It also features various projects of the Eagle Scouts, a pet memorial, a veteran's plaza, and a path that leads to the Fenland Historical Park and Memory Park.
Cedar Brake Park: The Cedar Brake Park is an area teeming with centuries-old cedar trees that witness Montgomery's history. These cedar trees have existed since the 1800s during Montgomery's early years. One of Cedar Brake Park's most beautiful features is the vast pavilion. In addition, it has a three-tiered fountain and a cast bronze statue of CB Stewart.
Cape Conroe Park – Friendly park that feautures a play equipment, restroom, pool, basketball court, & more!
Lake Conroe Park – This 13-acre park offers picnic tables & BBQ pits, plus fishing piers & a roped-off swimming area.

April Sound
This is a wonderful gated community on the lake with a golf course, multiple pools & splash pads, tennis courts, and private boat launches. They host lots of neighborhood events and are located minutes away from amazing restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping areas.
Bentwater
Beautiful water front, gated neighborhood with a multitude of amenities to enjoy. They offer an on site golf club with an 18 hole course, a country club, yacht club, and restaurant. There’s a state of the art fitness center, tennis courts, large pool & jacuzzi, and a covered children’s pool. They also have boat docks & launches, and are very close to the local shops & restaurants.
Del Lago
Established neighborhood on Lake Conroe with direct lake access. This community is full of trees, green space, and wonderful lake views, and is home to an 18 hole golf course. It’s located off of Walden road giving you quick access to all of the restaurants, shops, and grocery stores in the area.
Walden
This large community is right on the water and has a variety of different home styles & prices. They have their own marina & boat ramps, a fitness center, sports fields & courts, parks with miles of trails, and an 18 hole golf course. Residents have the option of joining the Walden Yacht Club which gives access to even more luxurious amenities.
Woodforest
A very fun neighborhood full of new homes and tons to do. There’s a pool that looks like a theme park with all of it’s slides & splash features, multiple playgrounds, sports fields & courts, miles of nature trails, a splash park, and a dog park. They have a golf course on site as well. You can easily get to 105 and access the local grocery stores, restaurants, and shops.
