Here at Jo & Co., we love exploring all around the surrounding areas and today we are in Katy, TX! Katy is full of grand places to visit and great things to do and The Cookshack is one of those places, some great southern food.
Walking into The Cookshack was like walking into a welcoming family home. With it being my first time eating here, I was promptly greeted and given the whole rundown of the different menu options, flavors, favorites and more. The staff was so welcoming and patient as I took my time to decide what to get. They are known for their chicken tenders, so I decided to grab some chicken tenders and sweet potato fries and wow were they great! The tenders were so flavorful and juicy, it's hard to find chicken tenders like that anywhere else.
The Cookshack just opened a few months ago right on Mason Road in Katy, TX. This is a great location that is so close to I-10, it is easy to jump off the interstate, grab a bite to eat and then jump right back on! Inside The Cookshack was so clean and very well managed. It was very spacious inside with an open space with lots of seating and then they do have a back room behind the bar that features more seating a ping pong table! The menu consists of lots of chicken, salads and ribs. You can get chicken and waffles and even chicken tacos here!
