Today I wanted to share with you all things Porters Mill, New Caney TX. I know that there are tons of neighborhoods to choose from in the Houston area, but I also know there is one that perfectly fits your needs. Each suburb, city, and neighborhood has so much to offer. Where is Porters Mill:

Porters Mill is located in the spacious New Caney, TX. Just 5 minutes from the Grand Parkway, convenience is at your fingertips. You can expect a 20 minute drive west to get to The Woodlands, or 35 minutes south to arrive in downtown Houston.

Why folks choose Porters Mill:

Folks love Porters Mill for the new construction atmosphere. The proximity to the business hubs in The Woodlands and downtown Houston is exceptional. New Caney could be considered up-and-coming; the shopping plazas, dining options, and other businesses are continuing to grow at a fast pace – don't get left behind!

Amenities in Porters Mill:

This neighborhood offers a community pool for many fun-filled and sunny days. You can take advantage of the Porters Mill park which is equipped with a playground as well. A designated picnic area, covered pavillion and more green space is also available at the park.

District Rating:

B Rated | New Caney ISD believes there is a set of skills, knowledge, and attitudes essential for a purposeful and productive life. The school district and community have committed to designing modern learning environments in high quality facilities, providing students with a wide range of opportunities for college and career exploration, and hiring the best teachers in Texas so that graduates will be equipped to thrive in the REALITY of their future.

New Caney ISD received a B, or an 85 out of 100, for a student enrollment of 15,360. The district improved from its 2017-18 rating of a C, or 76 out of 100 possible points. Out of all the district's campuses, one campus received an A, seven received a B, seven received a C, two received a D and one received an F. Below you will see the A rated and B rated schools.

Nearby:

Wal-mart and Kroger are less than 10 minutes from home. If you are a fan of outdoor activities, Lake Houston Wilderness Park and Harrington Trails Recreation Center are worth visiting. Big Rivers Waterpark and Tour 18 Golf Course are nearby for even more possibilities for adventure. Worth mentioning again, getting anywhere in downtown Houston will only take 30-40 minutes of your time.
