Hi friend. Sugar Land TX is truly a wonderful place to live, you have a suburban feel all while still being just short drive away from Downtown Houston & all of it's big city amenities. There's an abundance of great neighborhoods to consider when moving to Sugar Land TX, so let's compare them!
Colony Bend – Colony Bend is a well established community that features well sized homes for reasonable prices. It's home to Colony Bend Park which gives you 2 pavilions with picnic areas, barbecue grills, multiple playgrounds, a sand volleyball courts, 2 soccer fields, and walking trails.
Edge Water – A small neighborhood with easy access to major nearby highways. The community of Edge Water is situated around small lakes giving optimal views. You're in walking distance to Highlands Elementary School, and Highlands Park which has covered picnic areas with grills, lovely public art pieces, walking trails, outdoor exercise stations, a sand volley ball court, & a space themed playground for children.
Glen Laurel – This is a great community that hosts many fun & festive events for residents to partake in throughout the year. They have a neighborhood pool with a water slide, and multiple scenic lakes with trails winding around them. You have access to Eldridge park which is 43 acres & offers ponds with boardwalks where you can fish, lots of trails, picnic areas & grills, 10 soccer fields, a concession stand, and a very large playground.
Greatwood – This fabulous neighborhood has multiple stunning water features & an 18-hole golf course on site. It's full of amazing amenities like 3 different pools, 13 playgrounds, scenic trails, tennis courts, and the option to join Greatwood Golf Club. It's also just minutes away from River Park Shopping Center which has an HEB, great restaurants, many shops, and lots of other services.
Magnolia Plantation – A smaller neighborhood with larger homes for decent prices located on Oyster Creek. Residents have direct access to Oyster Creek Park and all of its great amenities like miles of hiking & walking trails, beautiful water features, an amphitheater on the edge of the water, picnic tables & grills, and a rose garden.
New Territory – Lovely neighborhood with larger homes for great prices. They offer three separate recreation centers each with their own impressive pools, multiple nature parks full of trails, fitness centers, and playgrounds. It’s also home to New Territory Sports Complex which has baseball & soccer fields, a snack bar, and a playground.
River Park – This community offers a variety of home styles and prides itself on being very family oriented. There’s a great pool with slides & a splash pad, a colorful play ground & splash park, a dog park, and a lake which makes for stunning views. River Park Shopping Center is right at the neighborhood entrance and has tons of restaurants & retail stores.
River Stone – This large master planned community will have you felling like you're on a permanent vacation. It's filled with all new homes and has lots of opportunity to build. The amenities include an 8,000 square foot club house with a fitness center that also offers classes, meeting rooms, and a catering kitchen. There's also 8 tennis courts, a nature themed playground with a zip line & rope bridge, gorgeous lake views, and scenic trails. There's an amazing resort style pool on the lake that has 2 story slides, ample seating & shade, and a small ropes course on the water.
Sugar Creek – An established community located on a stunning golf course. The neighborhood has a large swimming pool & splash pad, poolside cabana service, and an awesome fitness center. There's many water front & golf course homes with amazing views, and residents have the option of joining Sugar Creek Country Club.
Telfair – This large community with tons of lake views has beautiful homes & some great amenities. There's access to a 70 acre lake system where residents can kayak, canoe, or walk the many winding trails that go around the water & through the mature trees. Telfair Central Hall has tennis courts 7 a fitness center, and there's also a large pool with water slides & a splash pad.
Woodbridge – A great neighborhood that features fairly larger homes built in the early 2000’s. They have a community center with a pool, club house, tennis courts, and a scenic pond. There’s also four different playgrounds for kids to enjoy.
Woodstream – A well established community that has classic homes & streets lined with mature trees. It's a quiet & peaceful neighborhood with a community park & playground, pool, and tennis courts, as well as trails that lead to
Oaks of Alcorn Park.
