Hi friends. I'm delighted to share some insight today on things to do and places to see in Magnolia, TX. This small city outside of Houston is very family friendly and is known for its ‘small town charm'. It's a wonderful place to live or even just visit for a bit!
Places to Experience in Magnolia
–Lone Pint Brewery: This local brewery creates unique Texas ales and has frequent events like trivia, bingo, and live music. You can get a tour of this renewable energy powered plant and enjoy their custom brews in the outdoor beer garden!
–Shanks: Mini golf is always fun, but how about black light mini golf? This 18 hole course is full of vibrant colors and wild decor, they also offer an arcade gaming area and a virtual reality arena. Both adults & children will be thoroughly entertained here!
–Oil Ranch: An educational & recreational ranch where you get to interact with farm animals, go on train & tractor rides, ride ponies, and even milk a cow. They have a small lake on site for boat rides as well!
–High Meadow Ranch Golf Club: If you or someone in your family enjoys golf you need to check this club out. Most clubs require memberships but you can play here by purchasing a day pass. The land & views are peaceful and they have a great restaurant inside!
–Main Event: There's really something for everyone at Main Event. You have billiards, bowling, laser tag, and a huge array of arcade games. Not to mention the great selection of food & a full service bar. It's the perfect balance of adult & children friendly entertainment!
Restaurants in Magnolia
–Magnolia's Diner: American dishes served in a 1950's retro Hollywood style diner.
–The Meating Place: New local barbecue that's become very popular with a southern atmosphere.
–Patra's Thai Cuisine: Thai & other Asian inspired food, relaxed & peaceful interior.
–Kitty's Cafe: Family owned, local favorite restaurant serving classic homestyle meals.
–Philipose's: New restaurant with a creative menu and very trendy ambiance.
Parks in Magnolia
–Unity Park: You can enjoy 2 1/2 miles of walking trails here along with plant & wildlife wetlands, a skate park, volleyball court, and horse shoe pit. There's a playground & splash pad for the kids too!
–Zube Park: This place is actually 3 parks in 1 and is the ultimate outdoor day of fun destination. They offer free train rides, a pavilion filled with work out equipment, a playground, and a brand new splash pad. Your furry friends are welcome to join you here!
–Smooth Stream Park: A very interesting park that's great for kids. Their playground equipment is new and innovative, and includes obstacle course and other challenges that encourage learning & creative thinking. It sits on a small lake so the views are lovely here!
–Burroughs Park: A 320 acre park with extensive walking trails and multiple playgrounds. There's a gated dog park as well as a 7 acre lake for fishing. The lake features a large boardwalk so you can walk out and take in the scenery!
–Rob Fleming Aquatic Park: This park has a huge stone & wood pavilion, multiple picnic tables with barbecues, playgrounds, and overlooks a small lake. And right next door is the Rob Fleming Aquatic center where you can float the lazy river, go on multiple fun slides, and swim all day for only $18 for adults & $10 for small children!
