Y'all we got a counter offer! I am so happy, my eyes are all welling up. This is a good thing!!
Oh wait, I will back up just in case you missed my last update post..
We have been looking at land, homes and such for the next Jo & Co. office. A few days ago, we found something incredibly perfect that needs a lot of work. We wrote an offer, and then found out there was another offer, beside ours. The last couple days we have been waiting for an answer to that offer.
And just five minutes ago, I got off the phone with the listing agent and she had a counter offer. Although this counter is $33,000 more than we want to pay, there really are not comps that support the asking price, or what the seller paid three years ago for it. The comps are so much below what we offered and what he is asking, but we want it really bad, so we are working the numbers, and hope the appraisal will fix things up. We are trying to include an appraisal contingency clause. Fingers crossed.
Hopefully I can come back to you tomorrow with some “more better” amazing news!!
