The bulk of the homes within The Woodlands Township are under 3% with many of the older areas being well under 2.5%.

Tax rates differ greatly from home to home, street to street, and neighborhood to neighborhood, so it is super important to keep on eye on the tax rate. If you are new to home buying in Texas, you might be curious why this is important. This is important for many reasons, but the higher the tax rate, the less home you can afford (when financing).
