It has been officially announced that The Highlands, the fastest-growing and top-selling community in Porter, Texas, is getting an amenity complex called Discovery Cove. If you don't know much about The Highlands, it is one of my favorite communities. The Highlands is dedicated to creating community and providing the nature our bodies and minds crave. It is a master-planned community that is currently being developed by Caldwell Communities. The Highlands is seriously the most thoughtfully planned community. The Highlands currently features a 2,300-acre exploration of natural beauty in a densely treed, park-like setting featuring large recreational lakes and miles of trails. Enhanced with immersive recreation, exciting resident activities planned by a full-time onsite lifestyle director, and inviting new homes for sale in Porter TX, it’s everything you’ve yearned for. Other amenities include a playground, a fire pit, trails, access to the river, a golf course with a country club, and more.
But last week Caldwell Communities (the developer) announced that construction on phase 1 of The Highlands amenity complex – Discovery Cove – will begin this summer! Situated on a cove of the largest lake, the first phase of Discovery Cove will include amazing features such as a waterpark, resort-style pool, lazy river, pickleball courts, and much more. So, stay tuned for more information about plans and progress! And phase two is rumored to have a fitness center!
