Here at Jo & Co., we love exploring all around the surrounding areas and today we are in Katy, TX! Katy is full of grand places to visit and great things to do and Katy City Park is one of those places! It is filled with so many different features and space for everyone.
Katy City Park is right on Franz Road, easy to get to from the interstate. This park has a great play structure that has lots of unique features to it for kids to enjoy. Katy City Park is the states largest playground for impaired and deaf children. It's designed with intention in mind for all the enjoy. Its design is based off the MKT Rail Line in Katy. This playground is a one-of-a-kind place as it is also a place for abled and disabled children to play. It is wheel friendly! You will find a cargo net-like climbing structure, multiple slides, shaded swings, monkey bars and more!
Right in the same area of the playground, there are tennis courts, a covered pavilion, a covered basketball court, baseball fields and soccer/multipurpose fields! It is an open and spacious park for all ages. It has plenty of parking and is also located right down the street from Mary Jo Peckham Park, which is another great park. We love Katy and all that it has to offer!
This is such a grand park to have a picnic, have your kids roam around the playground area and enjoy a day out in the fresh air! We hope you are able to visit Mary Jo Peckham Park in Katy, TX! Let us know in the comments or in our DM's on Instagram if you go and how you like it! @jordanschilleci and @byjoandco.
