Hi friends, today I'd like to talk about the rural and one of the peaceful city in Texas, the city of Spring Valley Village. With a population of 4,294 it's easy to feel right at home here in this city full of history, and you don't need to venture far out to find lots of exciting things to do or fantastic places to eat!
Places To Experience in Spring Valley
iFLY Indoor Skydiving – iFly in the Houston area has state-of-the-art wind tunnels, and is open to all ages. You don’t need to have any experience either—they’ll teach you! Whether you’re planning your next corporate team building outing, a birthday party, or a fun activity with friends, iFly could be the unique experience you’re looking for!
The Escape Game Houston – We provide you with a unique and exciting experience. You and your team will enter an immersive environment where you’ll have 60 minutes to follow clues, solve puzzles, and complete your mission! You might escape. You will have fun!
Houston Arboretum & Nature Center – This 155-acre urban green space offers nature trails, exhibits, workshops and events in various habitats.
Beer Can House – The Beer Can House, a folk art house built from 1968–1988 using 50,000+ recycled beer cans, offers guided tours to the public.
Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park – The Waterwall is one of Houston’s most beloved, iconic landmarks. To stand in its mist and be enveloped by the gentle roar of cascading water is one of the city’s most memorable experiences. Walking along its lush canopy of towering live oak trees while in the heart of one of the largest business districts in the nation is inspiring.
Parks to Visit in Spring Valley
Spring Valley Village City Park – It's a beautiful, small park that's perfect for kids to play and have fun. It features a playground, picnic tables, water fountain, swings, pavilion and more!
Glenmore Forest Park -This fenced park features a water fountain and play equipment, as well as a walking trail.
Henry Froehner Pocket Park – Bring your dog to walk around our park! There's plenty of room for running and playing, including a gazebo for shade. They also have a playground for children and open fields for picnics.
Hedwig Park – You can walk around this park, which features playgrounds and swings as well as covered picnic tables.
Freed Park – This is a community park that provides a playground, sports field, and hike/bike trail next to the Freed Community Center.
Haden Park – A neighborhood park with grassy areas and shady trees, as well as a paved trail for running and biking.
Schwartz Park – This park offers a pool, trails for walking or running and sports facilities including basketball, baseball, and tennis.
Housman Pocket Park – This park is a must visit for friends and kids. The park has a gazebo, water fountain, two playgrounds, a fire truck, and much more for everyone to enjoy.
Restaurants in Spring Valley
Goode Co. Kitchen & Cantina – This spacious Tex-Mex restaurant & bar offers classic and modern dishes served in a roomy industrial-chic space with patio dining.
Casa de Leon – The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere, good service and delicious food. They serve a wide range of selection from all-day breakfast to dinner and more!
Jonathan's The Rub – A warm steakhouse with Italian- and American-inspired dishes, plus a cocktail bar.
Federal American Grill – A casual steakhouse with exposed-brick walls and a lively bar serving contemporary American dishes, plus signature cocktails.
Patagonia Grill & Cafe – A charming, upscale restaurant that serves delicious Argentine steaks, seafood and exotic meats.
Goode Company BBQ – This spacious restaurant offers classic dishes in an old-fashioned cafeteria-style setup.
