Hi there. If you live in the Conroe area or plan on visiting soon there is so much out here for you to enjoy, but sometimes it's hard to think of something on the spot. So I thought I'd compile a list of some fun, family day trips to check out!
Lake Conroe Park: Lake Conroe is big destination for the area and this 13 acre park right on the lake has everything you need for a day of fun, like fishing piers, barbecue pits & picnic tables, and a roped off beach entrance swimming area. It's located right by Lake Conroe Water Sports where you can rent a boat for the day to really and enjoy the water.
7 Acre Wood: A great place to take your family where you can interact with animals in the petting zoo, play mini golf, or try out the zip line. There's also a playground & swing set, and lots of fun games. If you go on Saturday or Sunday they offer pony rides & barrel train rides for the children.
Historic Downtown Conroe: This part of town has a wonderful vintage feel with much of its original architecture still intact. You can find many boutiques, restaurants, and even museums along these historic streets. There's often live music & frequent events hosted here throughout the years. You can easily wind up walking around here all day.
Incredible Pizza: The kids are sure to love this place, and honestly it's even fun as an adult. There's tons of arcade style games, bumper cars, virtual reality games, indoor go-karts, laser tag, mini bowling, and even black light mini golf. And of course the have lots of great pizza!
Margaritaville Lake Resort: You can rent a day pass here to enjoy the water but you'll probably wind up wanting to stay the night. Located right on the lake, this resort has a beyond amazing pool area with 3 separate pools, children's areas, a swim up bar, lazy river, water slides, cabana rentals, and even a beach entrance area into the lake.
