The history of Cinco Ranch goes back to February of 1984 when the largest raw land transaction in the history of Houston took place when Cinco Ranch Venture purchased Cinco Ranch, a 5,000 acre property. Over the years the land acquired for Cinco Ranch grew to about 8,092 acres making it one of the largest master planned communities in Houston. Cinco Ranch has over 11 community pools, a golf club, an 18-hole golf course, countless pocket parks, a network of greenbelt trails for hiking, biking, walking and jogging making it possible to get just about anywhere via this trail system, tennis courts, South Lake and Park Lake, a 40,000-square-foot YMCA, and so much more. I love Cinco Ranch for its walkability, opportunities, and array of shopping and restaurants!
